YES!
You read that right. I’m finally doing it.
I would have done this sooner but I got a serious case of the sniffles about a week ago PLUS it’s an insanely busy time for me at work. Sorry for the delay! 😀
So here it is!!
- Here is the before: Pink walls, green carpet, what was even happening here?!
- Here is the after!!! We got new floors put down and I got a room sized rug so I won’t scuff the floor scooting around in my chair. Here you can see my planning wall, my sewing table, etc..
- Here is my planning wall! I still have my little paper pieced bee hanging around 🙂 I also added a paper pieced heart that I wanted to use up some scraps with.
- Here is my sewing corner. I have my table set up, my ironing table is close by, my cutting mat has a little extra light, and my trash bin is right there for easy access.
- Here is my little wall of cute stuff. I have my spool holder, my adorable baby animals calendar (seriously, I screamed at a couple of the months.) I have my embroidered hoop “I kiss my dog!” and my periodic table of sewing elements. I think I’m a little dachshund crazy.
- I also have my mini boom speaker up there, to blast the tunes 🙂
- Here’s a better look at my sewing table top. Please pardon my mess. I decided I’ve taken so long to make this post I might as well take a mostly honest picture. I am using a candle holder (I don’t know what the fancy real name for it is) to hold my big scissors, markers, etc. My American Girl dress form keeps moving. This spot seems to be working out okay for now…for now…
- Here’s a look at my peg board! I absolutely love it. Everything is right there and out-of-the-way! I’m still using a binder clip as a little scissors holder, and it’s still the best idea ever.
- In case you were wondering what is in there! No, I didn’t make this little guy. My nieces got this for me for my birthday a few years ago and I knew I’d have some use for it eventually.
- Here’s my pressing board! It’s just a card table covered with batting scraps and some fabric with elastic sewn around the edges. This was 100% worth it.
- Here’s a little peak inside the closet, don’t mind that creepy doll :O
A few of my favorite things:
- I have a sweet little peg board set up for all of my doodads and thingamabobs to keep them handy yet out-of-the-way.
- I finally feel like I have all the room I need to spread out and plan and plot things without having to worry about anyone needing to get in there or around it. It’s nice to be able to leave a project out when it isn’t going to be finished in one sitting.
- I love this blue!!! It’s so peaceful and serene. My old sewing room was bright yellow and it made it difficult to look at colors. It also didn’t have a light in the ceiling…
- I really like having my little speaker up on that little shelf. It sounds silly, but it really makes it feel like the sound is coming from everywhere.
Right now, I’m working on getting some delayed projects knocked out, so surely I’ll have some things to blog about! I’m also trying to build up some store stock. I’ve got some infinity scarves in the works, and then I’ve got some wallets to get going. I’m also adding on to a quilt that I made for my niece a few years ago. I’ve got a lot to keep me busy!
Until next time! Happy sewing!
I love it! So great!
