No, no no, not a real one.
About a year ago was the first time I made some sweet little stuffed animals, known as Al’s Pals!

Memories!
In about a year I’ve sold all but three of the original little guys! At the last few shows I’ve done, it seemed like people weren’t noticing them anymore! I know before they drew people in, so I figured numbers must be the issue!

See me, feel me
So what I’ve decided to do is make some more little pals!!! This time I’m going to make them out of random fabrics I have stashed up. Right now I have a couple of mustard colored guys made, and I’ve got some orange with white dot circles, red with white flowers, solid “muted teal” and a few other colors picked out to up my guy’s numbers!
I’m also making a couple of changes. I’m making their whole faces sewn, instead of button noses and hard eyes. This way, they’re child friendly for all ages. (Because babies can’t chew off sewed eyes!) I’m also giving each of them little names and “personalities.” I love these little guys, and when I finish them up they always put a smile on my face.
I hope you’re all having a great week! I’ve got to pick out my QuiltCon Classes today! I still don’t know what I’ll be doing as a volunteer, but I’m still excited. Let me know below if you have any suggestions for Al’s Pals, or if you want to tell them happy birthday. 😉 Until next time, happy sewing!
I think taking the buttons off is a great idea!
I think so too! Less messing with fussy buttons 😉
