What’s Coming up Soon

Did you know this stupid year is almost over?

I feel like these two gifs accurately describe my feelings about it being the end of this year already.

So I’m already writing about 2017. 😀

I’ve already started signing up for a couple of craft fairs for next year.  Crazy, huh?  It’s December, and I’ve already applied to a craft fair that is in August.  AUGUST.  So I’m applying TEN MONTHS IN ADVANCED.  Absolutely ridiculous.  However, this year I’m focusing on quality over quantity.  If you read my last post about craft fairs, you’ll know that last year I participated in 14 craft fairs.  Some of them were better than others, so I’m focusing on ones that I know will work out for me, and a couple of others that I haven’t participated in before, including the elusive Tomato Arts Festival.  This is the third time I’ve applied to this thing, so maybe this time I’ll get in?

I’m also going to start working on some booth decorations.  I’ve got a plan for a sort of scrappy cloth wall.

This is how I feel trying to describe anything from my head.

I saw a thing, you know where I saw it, and I think I can do it with scraps and this “bird fencing” (it’s a thing, apparently, I got a big roll of it for like $7 at Lowe’s!) and most people use this and scrap fabric of whatever they want (t-shirts, cotton, etc) and they’ll make rugs.  Well, I want to make a tent wall out of it, cos that’s how I roll.  I’m probably going to have to take up a “scrap drive” and collect colors once I get what I’m imagining done…I don’t want it to just be a bunch of fabric wiggling about; I want it to say hello or maybe just “hi!” like a big cross stitch thing.  Is this too much?  When am I going to have time to do this?!  I have so many quilts to finish! Oy vey!

Imagine similar to this, but maybe 10’x 6′

Anyhow, these are just a few things bumbling around in my head.  What about you?  Are you already thinking about 2017?  Are you just trying to get through this weekend?  Let me know below!  I’m going to have a busy holiday weekend, too.  I hope we all survive!  🙂  Until next time, happy sewing!

Tell me what you think!
