Reflection on 2016

The year of the dumpster fire wasn’t entirely awful.

I don’t think I’m alone when I say that 2016 was pretty bad.  However, if you don’t learn from bad things happening, you’ll never learn anything.  Instead of focusing on all the bad, I’m going to look back at all of the good that happened this year.

In quilts.

Because quilts are not awful.

Exhibit A: why quilts are not awful!

Here are all of the baby quilts that I made this year for friends:

Here are the big quilts that I made this year:

(I didn’t finish the Star Wars quilt, but all those blocks are paper pieced, so I feel like all the work that went into them, it belongs here too :D)

Here are my almost finished quilts:

This has been a good year in quilts.  I’m planning on finishing up my WIPs next year before I start on new ones, although I am already starting a new WIP of 3 t-shirt quilts.  More on that later.  How have you done this year?  I feel pretty good about it.  You always want to make more, but there’s only so much time.  I hope you’ve all had a great year, and an even better one coming in 2017!  Until next time, happy sewing!
