A preview of this book, now!

I really enjoyed this book by Pat Sloan and Jane Davidson.  This book is full of 6 1/2″ finished blocks that are very simply explained and so adorable.  There was a sew-along Facebook group that went through all of these blocks last year and a lot of the members are now posting their finished projects and they are AMAZING!

So this book has something for everyone.  There are regular pieced blocks, applique blocks, even some paper piecing blocks!  They’re all explained in simple terms, and the designer of the block even explains why they added that block to the sampler.  What I really liked is that there is a section of the book that shows off a few different people’s quilts that they made using the sampler.  It’s nice because of the way people used different colors and different arrangements to make such different looking quilts with the same blocks.
