The final update!
Happy Winter Solstice, everyone! That means today is the final day of Finish it Fall! This has been such a fun way to push myself. I started off with 8 total quilts, only dropped one from the list, and I finished 3 of them! That’s almost half! I’m proud of the progress I made, and I’m looking forward to continuing this trend. I’ve still made more progress on a few of the quilts that I didn’t finish, and I’ve got more to near completion that I really expected to! Let’s take a look!
Finished
Repair Quilt – FINISHED!
Old Timey Baby Quilt – FINISHED!
Star Wars Quilt – FINISHED!
I got the quilting and binding done this weekend, just in time for Al to claim it for his own. ❤
Top Finished
Triangle Jellyroll Quilt – Progress!
I’ve got my backing ready, I just need to get this basted to get things moving! I also ironed this again over the weekend to make things a little easier. The only thing is that I have some extra triangles, so I’m deciding if I want to add them to the back somehow.
Splash Quilt
This top is finished! Now I just need to assemble the backing, quilt and bind! 😀 Since this pattern was called “splash” and it makes me think of a goldfish in a pond, I chose a fabric that has little fishtails coming out of water. (Michael Miller, Into the Deep, Surf Side)
Triangles Quilt – PROGRESS!
This top is DONE! It didn’t take nearly the time I thought it would, and I figured a good way to chain piece those little triangles, which helped a lot. I’ve already got the backing picked out, and I’m deciding if I want to use some left over triangles to make a really scrappy binding or a binding that is the same as the back.
Blocks Started
Starburst quilt
I’ve gotten lots of the blocks sewn, and I’ve just got to keep sewing on them! 🙂
This isn’t a final color layout, this is just to get an idea of how many blocks I need to sew in each direction.
This is the final Finish it Fall update! I’ve had a lot of fun, and don’t you worry, Friday I’ll be coming out with something new. I can’t just leave these unfinished quilts incomplete, so I’m going to start up my new goals, Winding up Winter! 🙂 Stay tuned to follow along on the quilts!

Thanks lil guy!
Until next time, happy sewing!
