Now that we’re well into the new year, here’s what I’m going to get done in 2019.
- Do more with less
I don’t plan on doing nearly as many craft fairs this year. Mostly I’m planning on cutting out Summer shows and focusing on my subscription boxes over the warmer months so that I don’t have to get out there in the heat.
I also don’t want to buy as much fabric or minky as I did last year, so I’m doing what I can with what I’ve got…which is a lot…but a lady doesn’t discuss the size of her stash so… 😉
I also want to change up my blogging schedule. I’m not sure how, but I know I want to do probably 2 posts a month, or at least just once a week. We’ll just see!
- Quilt more
Yeah I said it, quilt more! I feel like my sewing is going between seasons, and right now the season is a quilty one. Last year I kind of felt like I was drifting so far away from quilting, but then I started a project and it was like I was going back home. So I may be but a simple #TrashQuilter, but I love it.
- Lose 15 pounds
Putting a solid number of what I want to lose out there! Now that I’ve got things going in the right direction, I’m aiming to lose 15 pounds, and I mean, if I lose more than that I’ll be very happy, but all I’m hoping for this year is 15.
- Design 2 patterns
So, I’ve already got a leg up on one of these, but I need to test it out and add some photos to my directions. The second one isn’t very original, but I think it’ll be a lot of fun. Just a twist on an old pattern.
There are a couple of other things that I’m planning, but they’re not quite so pressing I guess. I suppose they seem easier:
- plan 6 months worth of subscription boxes
- make an “add on” for boxes
- make 1.5x what I did last year with Cute Fluffin Stitch.
That’s all I’ve got for now. I’m also planning on doing some things, but they’re not pressing or anything, so I’m not going to hold myself accountable for them. Anyhow, what kind of goals do you have for 2019? I’m trying to think of something like a word of the year or a color of the year (by the way, the Pantone and Kona colors of the year are Living Coral and Splash respectively, perfect for a flamingo something I think) but I can’t really land on anything.
I hope you’re all having a great week! Until next time, happy sewing!
