Last week I wrote about my recent trip to Alabama, here’s the rest!
A look at some things I’m looking forward to in the Summer!
A look back at my trip to Savannah, GA for QuiltCon 2017.
Not just a trip!
Last week we took our annual week off for our anniversary.
I already have made such headway on sewing this week! I’m so tickled!
This past weekend (omg weekend before last!) my guild went on a shop hop!!! It was entirely too much fun. We went all around Nashville and went to really neat shops (and one…that are a little urban legend-y) and we were greeted so pleasantly and had such a fun day! I found some REALLY adorable origami animals fabric that well, I couldn’t leave without. I also stocked up on more (because I needed them!!!) fat quarters and a book that I’ve been looking forward to getting, Farm Girl Vintage by Lori Holt. I absolutely love all of these sweet blocks in this book! Eventually, I’ll actually get to make something that’s in there! I saw another book while we were on the hop, Another Bite of Schnibbles by Carrie Nelson, but I decided to get that on my Nook.
This weekend I went down to Tuscaloosa for my nephew’s birthday party. I wish my birthday parties would have been so cool at 6! Everyone had a blast running all around the Children’s Hands On Museum (CHOM) “learning and playing” and maybe goofing around. I also was told there is a “big slide” that I needed to see. I had no idea that it was a Hunger Games trial esq giant slide! I carefully scaled this behemoth and came down in 6 minutes. I may have taken a little less time but a girl in front of me got all the way to the top, got scared, wouldn’t move, then almost kicked me in the head on her way down. It was my fault really, I told her “hey I’m right here, be careful!” Also…when I got to the top my phone fell out of my pocket, so I couldn’t even get a picture from way up there. It was also about 80,000 degrees, so the faster I got down that slide the better.
I finished up the Big Love heart quilt top, but I think I want to add something more to it. It just doesn’t seem big enough to me. I FINALLY got to cut into those Michael Miller The Littles fabrics. I’ve actually almost got that quilt top complete, too! Needless to say, I’ve had some serious sew-jo going lately.

So what have you been up to lately? That’s all for me…well mostly but I’ll save something for another post. 😉
Until next time! Happy sewing!
(I apologize for the SUPER late post)
I went on a fantastic trip with my mother in law and aunt to Paducah, KY for the American Quilters Society Quilt week. We went up Saturday morning and came back that afternoon and we had an absolute ball! There were so many beautiful quilts to see, and about a million different vendors..some of which were questionable 🙂 I also ran into some of my fellow guild members! If I hadn’t been the driver I would have taken more pictures of our trip, the drive up was really picturesque. Old barns in green and yellow fields, big lakes, even a few scary bridges. Okay all bridges are scary. Here are a few of my pictures from our trip!
I hope you enjoy! there are many more pictures on Instagram, and I’ve used #PQW2015 to keep them all together. I’m going to make another post soon, I feel like I’ve been lagging!
Until next time, happy sewing!
