Well, I went home with the intention of sewing yesterday. But I hit a wall as soon as I stepped in the door. I put my things away, landed on the couch and didn’t get up until it was bedtime. Normally when I go to the gym at lunch time, by the time I get home I’ve got an extra boost of energy and I’m ready to take on the world! This was not the case yesterday. I did my 2 miles on the treadmill and the rest of the day was just downhill. Maybe I should go back to the 1.75 or even the 1.5 miles…I mean any exercise is good, maybe I’m just overdoing it? Just a tad…
In quilting news…I’ve made an executive decision and decided that the brown quilt and the chevron quilt will be two separate quilts! I’ve been sitting here thinking “Man it’s half way through the year and I haven’t even finished one quilt!” and after lots of Q&A with people, I’ve decided yes, this is the right thing to do.
I went to Hobby Lobby on Tuesday and got the backing for the brown quilt and it was quite a challenge. This is the largest quilt I’ve made so far. My little helper tried his best to assist in laying out the batting in the kitchen floor, lining up the top and pinning at least the corners.
–On a side note, how come Al decides he needs to walk RIGHT where I pinned something?! I keep telling him look, you’re going to stick your little paw and cry and bleed and those are all things I don’t want to happen. Anyhow…-Then we flipped it over and put the backing on and pinned up some and moved it back to the sewing room. I was hoping to finish getting the edges sewn together and trimming up the backing more last night, but maybe today will be more of a possibility. I’m happy I got my label on there! That was exciting… 😀
So now once I get all of this done I’ll do the math and figure up the price and put it online!!!! And hopefully it will sell really fast! 😀
AL IS ADORABLE!! Mine do the same thing! : )
He uses that face to his advantage 😉
looks like a good helper!!
